Default 9" gear oil

i asked a while ago and had a reply but have been at sea for a while and couldnt find the thread...
My question is what gear oil should i use for a locker 9"...
im still lookin for the thread right now but i was hoping i could get a reply at the same time

I use just regular 85w 90w. The cheapest I could find...sont see any need to spend $3 more a bottle for synthetic. Plus synthetic will be thinner and will make it more noiser than it already is. Also if you are running a detroit there is no need for any additives.

ive heard to use 140w for differerentials..for applications as off road use and drag racing...this car drives around town/highway and will see the track a few times a year...just wondering if this changes anything for recomendations of gear oil?

I know in my info that came with my Tru-Trac it said that sythetic will void the warranty. They recommend regular.

That is what we use, Moser won't warranty a rear that uses synthetic oil. Bob

Union 76 75 90 mineral based mobil 1 75 90 synthetic is all I have ever used..Dont buy into snake oils.
