Default OK to add additive to rear end after fluid change?

I've got a stock 10 bolt and I recently changed the fluid out about 2 months ago. Everything looked good under there. Is it recommended to add any type of additive to the stock 10 bolt to help it out? And is it okay to add it this far after changing the fluid?

if you updated to a newer year oem torinton diff. never add the limited slip additive. it will ruin the clutches and slip. any other diff. will be ok and is recommended.

Disregard the post about the "oem torinton diff" as it's wrong.

First off, the newer differentials were Torsen and they don't have clutches -- they use a worm gear / worm wheel (element / side gear) torque transfer mechanism to limit slip.

And you can use the GM LSA as it is recommended if your Torsen is a bit noisy.

... Eaton HD rearend uses kevlar clutches and you are required to use non-synthetic fluid. You'll need comparative additive, as well.

Unless someone else changed it, you have an Auburn diff in there. YOU MUST ADD THE FRICTION MODIFIER (preferably the GM/Delco stuff, but others will work) if this is the case (you have the Auburn). If someone changed this out for a Torsen or an Eaton/Detroit "Truetrac", it is not required, but it WILL NOT hurt anything either!

It's required when you use dinosaur fluid. If you used synthetic, it is already in there.
