Default 9 inch fluid type and fill proceedure

I just purchased a 9 inch and I was wondering if I should put a hole in it to fill it or how to fill it for that matter with out cutting a hole in the housing?

I am also wondering how much and what type of fluid I will need for the rearend?

All you need to get the fill plug out is a 3/8's ratchet, an extension works really well to get you out of the way of the tourgue arm mount.
