HOW DO YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE A TORSEN DIFF?
JUST WONDERING HOW YOU CAN TELL IF YOU HAVE A TORSEN DIFF AND ARE THEY GOOD? I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THEM,THANKS IS THERE A CODE ON THE DOOR THAT TELLS YOU WHICH ONE YOU HAVE? IF SO DO YUO KNOW WHAT THE CODE IS FOR THE DIFFRENT ONES? ANY INFO WOULD HELP THANKS

If you have an ls1 powered car and it is a factory rear, it had either an auburn (cone type) or torsen (torque biasing type) differential in it. If you lift both back wheels with a jack and spin one forward, if the other spins backwards, it is a torsen. If it spins forward (or if the car is in gear, it won't spin at all) it is an auburn. www.torsen.com has good info on the torsen type. Good luck!
