I am also interested in this. I have an 02 and am debating whether to get 3.73's or 3.90's. Can anyone offer advice or recommend a solid setup for us auto's w/stock rear ends? thanks...

3.90s if you plan on racing a lot 3.73 if you will see more street time.

Go with the 3:90.... I went from stock 3:23s to 3:89's in a 9" and love the way it feels! You will have a blast on the street or strip.

Good Luck!

X2 !

Depending on your usage... it would go one way or the other. But... 4.10's gets a little deep for the first gear of the A4.

I have a 02 SS vert A4 and I went with 3:90 but I got a 9" moser. I'm very glad I did as the stock 10 bolt was getting very weak. I go to the track alot & drive the car on the street, when we pulled the rear we noticed the posi was weak....... go stronger 9", or 12 bolt.

I went with 3.90s in my M6. I think theyre nice. perfect gear ratio for a daily driven M6 and nice for the track. 3.73s in an Auto would proabably be the equivalent.
