Default Only one wheel spinning...

Went to the drags this last weekend, and found out only my passenger side spins and with street tires (cause the slicks/rims i borrowed did not fit) it spins for the whole 1/8 mile.

Is this normal? Or is something probably broken?

Thanks.

Sounds like your diff is dead, you shouldn't have a one wheel peel.

I have the exact same problem. I went to the track last year and did a burnout in the box. My buddy who was in line behind said my passenger side was the only one spinning. I now have a 500 rwhp 408 spinning my stock 10 bolt. If I don't give it to much gas i will spin both tires if I pound on it then only one spins. The rear makes no noise at all and otherwise drives totally normal. A new 9 inch is in the works this winter.

I am not sure what to do...I really do not want to spend that much on the rear. Car is a daily driver, and i might race it once or twice a year.

Its just the clutch packs.....

minor repair..

But diff has to be dropped & then some labor,, should be around $300-$400 including new clutch packs..

I can also put some 3.23s in (mine has 2.73) The shop has the 3.23 out of a V6 Bird. I can have them for nothing. Well..insatllation i guess....but since they are in there anyway....should be a bit better then the 2.73s

Well, do you still have a stock 10 bolt in? I don't see anything to suggest otherwise, but maybe I missed something...

Anyways, I had the same happen to me and I changed out the fluid and it fixed it. This is for a Torsen which does not have clutch packs. This may not be your problem but I figured I'd throw that out there from exp.. Just something to try before you take it to a shop and they take you for what you're worth...
