Default Anyone running aftermarket axles/posi units

I've seen some people here and there running with "custom" axles and eaton posi's in their 10 bolts...can someone give me some input on how they're holding up to the abuse? I'm on borrowed time on mine, and desperately want to run slicks. Also, if you guys would have to do it again, would you just spent the extra cash on a 12 bolt? Thanks!!!!!

IMO-you need to spend the money on a 12 bolt. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

With a M6 Hot Rod on slicks your going to blow up a 10 bolt. I have are ready done it. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

I put in a 12 bolt with a Eaton posi, 33 spline axles and blow up the posi the 1st time at HRP. So, we(Thunder Racing)put in a spool. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

I do drive my Hot Rod on the street. No problems at all with running a spool. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

If I had to do it all over again, I would go with a 9 inch ford so I could change gears more often. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

Good luck and Happy Holidays. <img border="0" alt="[angel]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_angel.gif" />

My friend is also running a spool on the street...does it affect driveability at all? I like to unwind the 'mula on the curves as well as in straight lines <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Thanks for the inputs on the rear...I was trying to save myself some money by going a different route, but I guess if I don't want any problems, I should just get myself a 12 bolt.
