Default Need Hel[p, I need a good Trans Shop!

I have no idea what happened to my trans, but i let the truck site for four days, get up this morning to drive it and everything is OK. Go about 20miles and fourth gear won't engage, it shifts to fourth, but will not grab, and shutters. Third won't catch either if i'm driving normal, i have to creep up on it very slow and let it grab, then as long as i don't gas it, it goes, had to get home that way.

Anybody, know of a GOOD, modern, reputable trans shop in San Antonio, TX?

Preferably a performance oriented one, so that they know what i need and they understand performance.

thanks, btw, i'm calling Gene in Poth, TX to see what he can do, anybody else out there?

thanks,

allen

The 3-4 clutch pack seen to be burnt in the tranny. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> We can build a tranny for you or sell you all the parts you will need to have it rebuilt. This is a problem that will not go away until the tranny is rebuilt. Call me at 1-662-224-8972 ext. 377 if you want to talk more about this.

Yep, sounds like you need a new set of 3-4 clutches. You might check the fluid level first just for the heck up it. If it's low it can cause all kinds of funky problems. It should be at the very top of the normal range with the tranny at operating temperature with the engine running.
