Question about gear whine I have read that aftermarket gears are made for strength and tend to whine more than factory gm gears.
When I upgrade the 10 bolt to a 12 bolt or 9" would going with a 3.23 or 3.73 gm gear reduce whine instead of an aftermarket gear?

Maybe, but I don't think it is worth the effort. Aftermarket gears made by Motive and US Gears tend to be pretty quiet, and the only ones that are really known for being noisy are the Richmond Gears. Bob
