http://www.gm-trucks.com/ this site has a rpo decoder. your gear ratio rpo code should be on the third row of rpo codes. on my z71 it was gt5 which decoded to be AXLE REAR 4.10 RATIO. i was very surprised that my truck had 4.10's because its a half ton. the decoder works for all gm vehicles.
