Making the right gear decision
Okay, sooner better than later I'm going to save up to get some heads to go with a big cam good enough for those stepped headers I'm using, but thats going to take a while.
But to make A long story short I'm upgrading my tranny and adding it with a 3600 vig stall and looking to do a gear swap as well. I did a few searches and asked around. Now I live in the city and I take the car to the track for fun probably twice a year.
For this gear swap, would a 3.42 cut it for my car?

dually noted, I am planning to put a trans cooler and shift kit in along with a deeper pan.
I asked a member earlier about 3.73s and the only cons I could gather is the 2 or 3 mpg loss and if I'm running on 16 245s, they might be a problem getting them to hook. Originally I was aiming for a vig 3800 with the 3.73 gears.
