Default moser 12-bolt torque arm fix?

how effective would it be if you installed studs and double nutted each stud................yes i know the torque arm will not fit over the studs. i know when we use to rockcrawl. the dana 60 front ends had two threads cut in the housings. and bolts would always loosen or brake off. we (i mean everyone that i know and dont know) knew the only way to fix that problem was with studs

so here it is

line the torque arm up with the threads in the housing
install the studs
hand tighten the studs
install lock washers and loc-tite
and then the nut of course tighten
and then the other nut tighten

and bring out the big bar!

not real user friendly, but with spools and slicks on the streets. they sure do loosen alot. might add 5 minutes to assembly or disassembly.

That certainly should work, I don't see why not. Bob

I bouble-nutted mine (had to use different bolts) and it hasn't ever budged in 3-4 years.

did you use longer bolts (and not studs) and then two nuts?

that would essentially be the same as a stud and much easier to assemble and disassemble.

I used loctite and a lock washer and had no issues with mine backing out. I think your idea is viable also.
