Default Leaking TA cover

Is it hard to fix the Leak on a TA cover on a 2002 ss camaro. I never did this before and I wanted to know if its possible to do this in my garage and what gasket or silicon to use and gear oil ???? Please Help Its leaking alot now and i need it fixed asap and i dont have much cash for a shop to do it....thanks BB

Pice of cake.
Pull the cover, let it drain, clean the surface, install new gasket.

Ok I just did the job but I used High temp RTV silicon gasket sealer. I sure hope this works I hope I wasnt suppose to use a gasket????.....BB

Gasket is over rated. We always use silicone. Some of the cheaper gaskets out there will leak.

did you mean rtv? for gear oil 75w-90 w/ limited slip gear oil additive..4oz i'm assuming its the stock 10bolt.

mine also leaks...ive replaced the gasket and rtv'd it...think its just the top hole releasing fluid

Yeah exactly hight temp RTV with Amz oil 75w 90 stock 10 auburn diff.....BB
