Default Moser/Strange 9" Fitment

Just curious those of you who have a Moser 9" or Strange 9"...how does it fit. I have heard from more than a few guys that the torque arm will hit the trans tunnel, that its hard to get the rear sway bar on, parking brake.etc etc Please share any experience that you have with fitting these rears to our cars.

The new Moser 12 bolt and nine inch torque arm is designed to clear the body, and no clearancing is required. Bob

well strange does not make a 9" for the f-body. They do however make a 12 bolt or an S-60.

Im saying, if you use your factory torque arm, will it hit? Or are you saying the torque arm mounts are designed that the factory torque arm will not hit?..

Takes a little more money, You need to shorten your driveshaft or get a new one. + it takes 6-8 weeks to get one in.

I did a hybrid 9" Moser case and axles but a Strange Pro nodular third member.

I had to tweak some sheetmetal up near the torque arm mount so it wouldn't hit. Un-noticeable from the inside of the car.

I just sent an S60 to Florida... took 3 weeks. they are a good rearend, strong as hell, but a tad heavy. they are a direct bolt-in and can be had for few hundred less than a 9 inch.

Bolt in, other than driveshaft needs to be shortened?...

We normally don't have a problem with the factory torque arm, but a lot of the aftermarket torque arms require a little prying with a pry bar to give them adequate clearancing. I'm talking about just a few minutes with a pry bar, and we stick the pry bar between the torque arm and the offending sheetmetal and nudge it away. You will never notice this from inside the car.
Moser rears are shipped just two days after the order is received. Bob
