Default ford 9"+big bearing ends +ls1 brakes????

I'm looking for some caliper brackets to fit a big bearing ford 9" with stock ls1 brakes. The stock rear end backing plates dont come close to fitting. Plus they are heavy.
What are you guys using, are you making your own? If so please post some pics.
Thanks

My Midwest rear end has the big tapered bearings with LS1 brakes. There is a machined shim about 1/8" thick or so to flush up the bearing. Everything bolted up perfect.

The 4 bolts that hold the axle in, those bolt holes dont line up with the stock backing plates along with the bearings too large for the center hole.

If you have the "Big" bearing Ford housing ends the bearing is the same as the 12 bolt aftermarket housing ends. The bolt holes are not even close. You will need to get a set of aftermarket brakes. Burkhart can help you out with that.

assuming the housing ends that are installed on your rearend are the "early big ford" design, the bolt holes would be 1/2 inch and yes, completely different pattern. there is also a new stlye that has 3/8 holes in the same bolt pattern. either of these two housing end designs will not fit any of the gm brakes, stock or aftermarket. unless you change the ends on the rearend housing, then it would be better for you to just get a brake kit for the ends you have. a pair of housing ends is only 75.00, but you will need a lineup fixture to properly install them. you also will need to know the offset dimension(housing flange to outside of axle flange) of the axles you have to get the correct brake kit. pm me with the details and i can can hook you right up.

I have the BIG bearing ford ends that use the 1/2 bolts. Crap looks like i'm either making brackets for the ls1 brakes to work or spending money on some aftermarket brakes. Thanks guys.
