Default Burkhart housing pics.

Here are some pictures of housings we have been doing. A lot of people have asked for better pics. So here they are. One housing will go into last year's LSX Drag Radial winner and one will go into Six Speed Inc's all motor car. The third is for a customer.

Killer work. The Six Speeds car was a design that Chuck and I came up with to get the rotational weight down. We also kept the factory style torque arm mount so the car will be legal for stock suspension racing. I also like that all the housings we get are 100% TIG welded, I dont want any MIG welding on my custom housings.

Looks pretty good, but looks like a moser stock housing with a cover welded on? Nice welds and design looks bullet proof for sure...

I have a question though...I also like that all the housings we get are 100% TIG welded, I dont want any MIG welding on my custom housings Why would this matter?

TIG welding gives the welder more control of heat and better penetration.

What's the weight on one of these housings, like the one in the first picture and is it full width or narrowed? Nice work btw.

Average housing weight is 65 pounds. All of the ones in the pictures are narrowed.

How does the weight compare to a regular(non fab) 9in housing?

Typical 9" housings come in around 85+ LBS.
