Default Just got my Dana 60 from Mphmotorsports!!! Pics inside!

I just got my Dana 60!! I ordered it back about 3-4 weeks ago from Mphmotorsports, They are running some great deals on them right now!!
See their ads in sponsor section;
https://ls1tech.com/forums/sponsor-sales-specials/839842-everybody-needs-little-strange-rear.html

Here is what it looks like fresh off the truck!

Here is what the axle looks like!! It needs paint!!

Here is the driveshaft. it also needs paint!

Here are the extra parts that came with it! I'm still not sure why it comes with a extra yoke?

This thing is ALOT beefier than the 10 bolt!!!

It looks great in the car too!!

I still need to fine tune it in, set the pinion angle ect...

I live here in Wisconsin and we are having record breaking snowfall this year so I won't have it out on the street till sometime in spring. Im still trying to figure out breakin and pinion angle ect... The axle came with NO paper work to say how to do this. But there is a great article in Gm High Tech this month!! Page 54-57

That sticker on the axle tube has the breakin info.
It was like, drive it easy for 300miles. Do as many heat cycles as you can, and let it cool overnight. Then change fuild after 3-500miles. Bascily the same as new gears.

Default S 60

The S 60 is a excellent alternative to other differentials. I've installed mine with no problems at all and broken it in. Everything you need is in the box.
Mine is quite and smooth. The weather here in midwest has been shitty also.
Should hold up to that 455 that's coming soon

Anyone buying one of these with the strange driveshaft, You might want to look into having the strange driveshaft rebalanced. I have talked to 3 guys on here that have had balancing problems with them, And I also had problems with mine. Ask your balancer to balance it with in 1/4 oz.
