ok i have motive 4.10 gears aubern gear posi and all new bearings and seals.

i put all of it in everyhting is set the backlash and space n everything

BUt

i was breaking it in goin for a quick cruise maybe after ten minutes of driving i had to get onto the highway on the onramp and i started going it was too late to stop bc a truck was coming and i had no other choice but to hit the gas it was either the car or a bad break in weich i got away with the second one.

now i was like **** so there was maybe like 30 miles on the new posi and i had to let it rip and it howls now.

is it going to stay like this and would that break it in already or i heard to break in a posi go to a parking lot do circles to the right than left ?

what do i do now?

I would start with checking the backlash, and check for internal problems....

all 4.10's whine playa, it aint the posi, bring it to the track and break it in the rest of the way now.

these rears are the same as older models?,i hear people having problems{whining,howling,breaking}never had aproblem with mine install.break-in?whats that,1/4 mile at a time!
