02 camaro stock rear end binding up..
Well me and a buddy pulled the rear end apart this morning, and put my new wheel studs in, I also went ahead and took the ABS gears off...
Well after I cleaned everything up, we slid them back in, and the gears are binding, not allowing us to push them back far enough to slide the steel block back in place, and put the 8mm bolt back in. We oiled it back up, thinking maybe thats what was wrong, but the axles still won't free spin. Its like its locked into posi mod. lol
Any idea's on how to fix this problem?
Its a TORSEN rear end. all stock.

I would take the axles back out.
And then first try putting in just the crosspin and locking bolt by hand.
If the posi gears out of wack you might have to gently tap the crosspin
to help put them back into alignment.
Hopefully this will help realign the posi gears and then the axles will go
back in ok the second time.

We tried taking the axles back out. But the gears won't slide over enough for us to get the C clip's out. We didn't have a hard time at getting the axles out.. And we lightly tapped the crosspin/block to get it in there. but no dice.
We also tried to lightly tap on the gear, outward towards the wheel hub area, and they don't want to budge either. There are four worm gears up top, and I think four down bottom, and I think they are all out of wack, and its jut being a pain in the ***. lol.
Any one else?

Both axles are in with the c-clip's in place,
No on the cross pin, it won't go in, because the gears are still to close together, and we can get them to seperate far enough to slide it in..
I don't get it, it came out really smooth, but now that we are trying to put it back in, its being a pain in the ***. ha ha.

Yup tried that too. But they seem to be bound up in there with the worm gears.
I really don't want to have to take everything apart, just for this one simple little thing. ha ha, know what I mean??
