How long does it take to change gears?

How long does it take to change gears? I'm just curious to see how long it would take to change the rear end gears in a 94 Camaro. Is it something that can be done in a few hours? I'm just curious to see. I would probibly pay someone to do it since I dont have the "know-how" to do it and I dont want to mess anything up.
Also, How would I adjust the speedometer so it would be the correct speed??

It's gonna take at least 4 hours to do it right and any hand held or computer tuner can correct the speedo..good luck and make certain whoever does it knows his stuff.
