rear end goin? with the back tires off the ground, when i move the tire theres a half inch of play before the pinion moves. after a half hour of driving when i take off it klunks from the rear of the car and when idling along in traffic it klunks as it chugs. i thought maybe the universal but it seems to be good.

pull the rearend cover and check the posi. I just broke mine at the dragstrip and it would clunk under any load. pulled the posi out and sure enough had several teeth torn off the spider gears

i checked that and it looked good, it just seems theres alot of play between the ring and pinion gear. the car has the stock gears with 190000kms on it.
