Re: Motive Gear's quality contol is just as bad as Moser! Man that really sux. Such a good brand of gears, too. Maybe it's a sign that you need to go with 4:33 Yukon gears :p

I recently had to rebuild my Moser and wanted a different brand of gears since the Moser / US Gear gears were noisy as hell. So I bought a set from Precision Gear. When I opened the box...guess what...US Gears. Called Precision and apparently they just re-box some gear sets that US Gear makes for them. I was not happy, but decided to use them anyway. Now, these are just as noisy as the others. :o(

Re: Motive Gear's quality contol is just as bad as Moser! I've tried to say this for a long time now. Don't give Motive your money. They took mine and I got a set of gears that howl like a wolf. I have installed many different brands of gears in all different ratios in all different applications. The 1 set of Motives that I installed were the only set of gears that I have installed that were noisey! They will never get my money again. And I'll be buying a set of gear within 2 month.

Re: Motive Gear's quality contol is just as bad as Moser! *Update* everyone!!! After their second fuckup, they refused to overnight the gears to me for Saturday delivery so I could be up and running on Saturday. Instead they forced me to wait until the following week.
So, I finally get MY THIRD set of gears from them on Tuesday, and take a wild guess what happens this time?
THEY FUCKED UP AGAIN FOR THE 3RD TIME IN A ROW
This time they sent me 4 series gears instead of the 3 series gears I ordered.
I've had it with Motive and I will make sure every website I post on knows of how poor their quality control is. Their failure to overnight gears for their screwup shows me how poor their customer service is as well.
My car will be down for a total of a month because of them and their inability to properly pack and ship a product.
I will never give a dime to Motive ever again, and I hope none of you do either.
I will also be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau so that others can find out the pains of dealing with Motive before they make the mistake of doing business with them.
I am now waiting for my 4th set of gears now and I will go ballistic if they **** this one up to.
Sorry for the cussing, but if you can't tell, I'm really pissed off.

The second installer, who installed the Strange gears told be the Motive ring he took out was 3.73, as he counted the teeth to verify. I thought the 1st guy had pulled a switch on me. Hmmm. The Motive box said 4.10, but after hearing your story, maybe... you know what I'm getting at.
