Car will not shift at high RPM...
This has been an ongoing problem with my car since last summer. I had my tranny rebuilt last year, and while it was out, I installed a cartek clutch, adj master and new slave. Everything went smooth until we tried to get the tranny back in. Either the alignment tool was a little of, or it just didn't want to slide back in. But the tranny would go all the way in except for about 1/4", so we used the bolts to pull it in the rest of the way.
Problem 1. After about 2 weeks since it was installed, the pedal pressure kepted getting harder and harder. Finally, I was driving and the pedal did not go done at all, and SNAP, the rod connecting the pedal to the master snapped in half. Cartek sent me a new one and told me it must have been a faulty master, or it was adjusted too much.
Current problem. Now the car will not shift at high RPM, it takes me almost a full second to engage a different gear while racing. I have changed the fluid several times but this seems to help for the first 10-15 miles.
Also, what is strange, if I have the car stopped and while pressing in the clutch. When I rev up the engine to about 5k, I can feel the clutch pedal trying to push my foot up.. I am thinking either one of the following three. Either the slave cylinder I have is bad, the clutch disk is warped or air in the lines.
Any ideas??

Either that or I 've seen cars that have the exact opposite of the above & it was a pressure plate.

Sounds like your pressure plate... I had the same problem and pieces of the PP fell out with the transmission
All fixed now though!

There is really no way to tell without opening it up. Pulling the tranny on with the bolts is always a bad idea. To get around this next time, remove the bell housing and use the tranny input shaft to align everything. Snug the bolts down and remove the tranny. Complete torquing of all bolts. Then put on the bell housing and tranny should go right in.
