Question 9'' Install help..

Allright, I have a moser 9'' housing, built center section with 4.33 gears and 33 spline spool. I have the rear brakes off a 99 Ls1 car for the brakes. All I need to get are the axles, axle bearings, wheel studs, and retainer plates. But here are some questions that I have...

1. I know I can call moser and order axles... But is there anywhere elce that I can order them for cheaper... And I was told that strange is alot better than moser.. or is that a personal thing..

2. Drive shaft, I know that I need the 1350 yoke, But what is the length?? I have a 4l60e. on my 95' Ls1 drivetrain firebird.. Or is there a site that I could buy one at allready to put in. I have a drivesahaft place that will modify my stock driveshaft to work with the 1350.

3. Im not a ford guy but what elce am I going to need? Axle bearings. Retairner plates. Studs...

4. My firebird doesnt have traction control but it does have abs.. Now I dont drive the car in the rain, snow or shitty weather... I was thinking about taking out the abs unit and not have abs on the car at all... What do you guys think..

thanks guys
Evan

Is your housing made for an LS1 or just a regular housing? Your stock driveshaft should work...just get the correct u joint. You may try summit or jegs for the axles. I prefer strange over moser.

Evan, I can get you Moser axles with bearings and studs for a great price, give me a call at 260 244-4808.

I recommend the PST 3.5 alum driveshaft, rated at 1000 hp, here is the link to it. Select the 9 inch option which will be slightly longer.

This driveshaft comes with the front yoke and both u joints, and will bolt right up to your 1350 rear yoke.
As far as ABS goes, since your center section does not have the newly available ABS reluctor ring option installed in it, I would just not hook up your ABS. I personally never liked ABS anyway. Bob

So how long are the axles in a moser 9"? And does anyone have any pics of the factory 98-02 brakes on there 9"? Just want to see how to install the brakes...
