Motive 4.10. where does it say in pinion what shim to start with? I was told or have read that motive gears will say on the pinion what shim they recommend. It has some numbers but none that would be a shim size. Also are these gears really made in Korea? It says it on the box but I thought Motive was american made

It wont tell you which shim to use, because every rear end is a little different. You need to set the pinion depth to 3.779". What you need to do is measure from the centerline of the ring gear/carrier to the face of the pinion. Start with no shims and get a measurement, then add shims accordingly.
