1600rpm@60 Still getting better mileage than i did with the 3.42's. 30 highway. 3.42's Best I got was 29.2.

I'm a big fan of gear swaps. Stock gears suck

I concur.....3.90's in the rear was one of my first mods. The car feels so much more responsive playing around on the streets and it virtually ensures that you are always in a strong spot of the band for roll races.

When I go with a 9" rear, I'll likely go with a 4.1x in the rear, however I'd love to hear a little more from the others before making the jump. Right now, I should be near the redline in 4th at the end of the 1/4 mile.

i thought about 3.90s but went with 4.10s because i knew i'd be wondering what i missed out on in the small increment between 3.90 and 4.10. it was a great mod though i really feel the difference now.

I ran 4.10's behind my A4, and then after they broke, and after my 4L60E blew, I swapped to a T56 and installed a set of 3.90's!! (did you catch all that?! )

I really liked BOTH sets of gears. Something around the ~4.xx to 1 mark is definitely a good thing . Especially for a street/strip car.

Depending on just how FAST your car is, or if you're looking for a very specific setup, then 3.73's "may" be as low as you want to go (whether for an A4 or M6) but otherwise? 3.90's or 4.10's are both great options (and there's really not A LOT of difference between the two).

3.90s for me here with a 9" . Think it is a better multiplier for traction. Kind of a cushion since if you launch it without slicks at more than 2,400 you can say good night to them anyways
