Which gear for A4 stalled Street/Strip?
I am replacing my gears at my cost from a 6 month old moser rearend because they are way too loud.
I have 3.23's and a 4l80e as in sig.
I drive this a lot on the street but want performance the most.
Vote up and include gear manufacturer if you know.
I think 3.73s will be fine highway cruising(a lil higher rpm then ideal but will be worth it i think)
3.90's too much for highway/interstate?

I just went from 3.90s to 3.42s because i got tired of cruising down the interstate at clost to 3000rpm. Think about any future mods you plan on doing and the tire you wanna run. I reccomend 3.42s or 3.73s. I ran 10.88@126 1.49 60ft with the 3.90s. I ran last night 11.00@124 1.64 60ft in SHITTY humid air, so I didnt lose anything going back to the 3.42s.

Thanks for the inpt guys.
The performance gain wasnt worth it for how much i drive on the highway.
Going from 3.25's to 3.70's should at least make up for my heavy 9" and 4l80e!

I just got a 12 bolt with 3.91's.
They are a little aggressive for hwy driving. It pulls 2500 rpms at 70mph. Which doesn't sound that bad but, my car is loud at 2500 rpms.
3.73's is a good choice if you drive the car on the hwy a lot.
No way would I put anything over 3.73's in a D/D. Especially nowadays.
