off the top off my head.

Jack the car up, support with jack stands

Take wheel off, set aside

Remove/Unbolt brake hardware. You do not need to take off the brake line

Remove Rotor

Unbolt and remove diff cover, let oil drain

Using a SMALL wrench 8mm I think remove the bolt that is on the diff itself, it goes from right to left, in the middle is a metal "paddle"

It will slide out, then take the axle and push it toward the center of the diff.

The "C" clip should be exposed and fall out, IF the car has ABS/TCS which is known as a 4 channel, the sensor needs to come out otherwise it wont fully come out.

IF the ABS sensor is at the top off the differential then its not a step you need to worry about.

Dont lose the "C" clip. Once it comes out, the axle slides out.

Reinstall the ABS exciter ring if again equipped with ABS/TCS, re install is reverse of removal, add new diff fluid with GM diff lubicant.

remove wheel
two bolts holding caliper on the bracket are 15mm leave caliper together and zip tie out of way to take stress off brakeline
undo rear cover
it is an 8 mm for the little bolt that locks the paddle in
slide out paddle then push axles in and c clip should fall if not a little coaxing should do it
no need to worry about abs on 3 or 4 channel
axle will slide out
you may have to remove exiter ring to put on new axle, not sure

i know you have probably heard this but i wouldnt waste money on the 10 bolt, save up and get a 12 bolt or a 9 inch
i have seen people throw a ton of money away trying to build up the 10 bolt only to have to upgrade anyway

if you dont know how to pull an axle from a car I am not so sure if you really need to be working on the rear of the car in the first place. Get a haynes manual. I am not trying to be an *** but seriously man it's easier than doing brakes.

Tight. Use RTV on the diff cover.

Only thing i hate is taking the pan off to get the c-clips out. The rest is pretty easy.

Have a small magnet for the cclip...If you don't already have an axle, try to get one out of a traction control car or with the reluctor ring found on ASR/TCS axles. It will save you the headache and money of going to another shop to have it removed and pressed on the new axle.

the reluctor ring is only on the 4 channel set up, not on the 3 channel like i have isn't? and i don't all f-body cars 93-02 with either v8 or v6 have the same axles and rear ends? because i think i can get one from a 95 camaro close to home.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but starting to put the Moser 9" in and I am having trouble finding the 8mm bolt to remove the axles. Could someone maybe highlight where I need to look please. Thanks.

Rotate the carrier case around 180 degrees. Should stare at you from the RH side of the carrier case.
