65,000 on my SS and I get a clunk when turning and it also feels like the differential inside the housing slides to the left or right when turning. I also have gear noise on the road. I haven't touched the rear end, not even the fluid. Any ideas?

Mine was doing the exact same thing. I found out that the posi unit was going out. So I replaced the rear end with a Strange 12 bolt..

Sounds like the posi is going out. Not necessary to go with a 12 bolt though if the hp and driving conditions do not warrant the upgrade.
