7.5 10 bolt build up from MOSER anyone have input?
I have a 95 z 6 speed car. 11 20's on spray, mid -12.30's on motor. dynoed motor only 323 hp, 336 tq/ on spray 455 hp, 514 tq at wheels. I race in the U.M.T.R series. I have grenaded my 10 bolt 3 times. I had until it broke stock axles, eaton posi,4:10. I have been looking at a bolt in moser 9 or 12. i prefer the 9. I stumbled across a package for the 7.5 10 bolt that includes axles, spool, c-clip eliminators, studs, bearings. I talked with a local fabricator that told me that alot of 05 and up mustangs owners are switching to 10 bolts with these build ups and are working. He has done atleast 10 and are holding up really well. I am really curious to know if this might work. I have raced with my 10 bolt for 5 years, and my first one was tough even though it was stock. It was funny to watch the look on peoples face when they would ask me what i had swapped to then when i said i hadnt. Go to the line on the 2 step 5500 rpm's realese on the bottle with 175 kit, the look on there face was great. I would love to stick with this.
I was told from moser tech. that along with this build up that you have to buy a rearend cover with stud gurdles in it. my question is has anyone tried this. If so whats the results.
since a spool is the way im goin.

Why would they do that? This rear end can barely handle a stock LS1. No matter how well you build it, it'll never be as good as a 8.8, or 8.5" 10 bolt, or a 12 bolt, or a 9".

Well i believe the package is under moser's site in the axle and spool catagory.
as far as if it works thats the question im asking. before i get thrown under the bus here i dont know why the mustang guys would do that. i was told it was to replace the independant rearend set up for a solid axle. i guess for drag racing it doesnt do well i dont know why. i was as confused as everyone else that reads it.
but i did see today on moser site that they now offer a bolt in solid rearend now for the new mus. so the why's, if's, and the how's i have know idea.
i was told that it might work and to investigate it

I thought the new mustangs had a live axle... or is that just the GT500?
At any rate, I would never put much faith in a 7.5" 10 Bolt. For your car... I'd just get a 9".
