How long til my stock trans gives up I want to have an idea of how long my trans will last with the following mods:
Stage III 5.3 heads
1.8 Crane Rockers
216/220 525/532 114
Yank 3000
FLP Long Tube Headers
FLP High Flow Cats
K&N CAI

Re: How long til my stock trans gives up Hey Silent, Forever!!!! Why don't you install a cooler that will help with the life, also have a shift kit installed, this too will help. For some reason (unknown to me ) everyone wants to add power and forget about how it gets to the rear wheels, this is good for me; as business has never been better, not to good for you guys tho. I guess to answer your question, no one can tell I've had them in the shop @ 3000 miles as well as 50,000 miles seems to be in that area tho if your running hard. From the factory you can expect 80,000-120000 miles. I hope this helps you.

Re: How long til my stock trans gives up Thanks for the reply, I have 60K on it now and have been driving it pretty hard since day one. There haven't been any signs of slippage and I just recently added a cooler. I guess I'll find out the hard way.
