Default 4.11's in 9inch people come in

Ok got my 9inch in the car and all, 1st time went with some Motive Performance 4.11's....set it up, made ALOT of noise, took the 3rd member back out and saw the gears were eating them self's. Midwest Truck parts (thats where my company bought them from) said they were set up wrong (BS I had one of are gear shop guys do it....and thats all he does all day is set up 3rd members) anyways my company warrantied it and I put Yukon's back in it....now its still noisy but not even a fraction as loud as the motives. Is that normal, you can only really tell when you get to 50+

This is my 1st set of 4.11 and my 1st 9inch so I was unsure, wanted to know if anyone else has some noise.

both sets are imported gears, and i have been having alot of issues with the motives on setup. i spend alot of extra time checking patterns after i think it is good to be sure to get the best. these gears seem to have alot of runout, causing the patterns to move around. this makes it real hard to come up with the optimum setting. unfortunately, there is no way to tell what a gear is really gonna sound like until its in the car. good luck!

Mine sounds like a well set up 10 bolt. Granted Ive got a soild body mounted torque arm so thats transfering more noise and its had quite a few 5500 RPM launches on it. So its noisy, but not terrible

I've got US Gear 4.56's in my 9".....they make a little noise on the highway but it's quiet enough that I can still hear the slight whine from the t56.

i would use US Gear if they were available... they havent made 9 inch gear production runs in quite a while. most of the noise can usually be taken care of by proper setup.
