Question is it a 3 or 4 channel?

i know im a 4 channel car (2000 M6 TA, with TCS and ABS),,,but am thinking of buying a used rearend (M12!),,how can i verify that it is actually a 4 channel? (The seller is going to open her up so i can inspect the gears as well)

for a 4 channel the connectors (2) are near the axle ends, a 3 channel the connector (just one connector) is on the top of the housing.
