Default How do i break in gears

Hello,
I just bought GM 3.73s and i was wondering what is the proper way to break these gears in, and how many miles do i have to put on them?

with motive gears you're supposed to have the rear on jacks and idle in first for like 2 or 3 minutes. then take the car out for 10 miles or so, then let it cool down.

wasnt there a break-in procedure with the purchase of the gears? if not i would call where ever you got them from or GM to find out exactly what they recommend.

I agree ,drive it.. That's what I did..No problems.. Don't beat on it for about 500-1,000 miles tho..And then change the fluid around 1,000. You have to get a nice wear pattern going ...
