LT1 to LS1 spacer next to axel bearing needed???

LT1 to LS1 spacer next to axel bearing needed??? I just got a sweeeeet deal on a used 12 bolt Moser from Car Parts Inc.com (thax Elec),,,it came with LT1 backing plates and such. I have removed the brakes, and have taken the axel from the houseing so i can get the bearing pressed off, remove the LT1 plate, and have my LS1 plate and the bearing pressed on....BUT....on top of the bearing now (still wearing LT1 plates) there is this 1/4 tall or so spacer,,,sits right on top of the bearing,,do i need to reinstall this when i put the bearing back on with my LS1 plates????
