Which gear ratio (3.89 or 4.10)
#2
It is going to depend on how high you are willing to rev your engine through the traps, and how much horsepower you are making. With a short 26" tire and nitrous, I'd say 3.89's. Bob

I may never change the cam, heck @ the rate i'm going trying to get the rearend set-up, i may never get nitrous lol, i'm sure theres not a whole lot of difference from a 3.90 to 4.10, i just want to be able to stay in 4th. through the 1/4 on a stock cam (on motor).

If its a stock rear 4.10s usually have a lot of gear noise I would go 3.90s.
Best option = save your money till you can get a 12 bolt or 9". I just sold one for 1600.00
I would never waste my money on a stock rear again. If you interested I have a almost new eaton posi and 28 spline axles and girdle for sale.

i'm running 4.10 cuz 3.90 were not available for the S60. i'm running a 26" tire and my shift light is on at the end of the 1320 in 4th gear but i'm not bouncing off the limiter. so if you are on the spray, i'd think either 3.89 or go with a taller tire if you do the 4.10, something like a 28
i totally agree after rebuilding/replacing my 10 bolt 4x and $1500 later. his sig says mosier 9" so he's safe.
