car feels slow up top

car feels slow up top long story short i have 2.73 gears right now. I have a pt4400, and a g5x2. the car just feels slow when in punch it anything above 50.
im thinking i want to go with a 3.73 gear. does this sound like a problem that will be solved with the gear change or do i have other problems.
mod list.
ls6 intake, ported t/b, ud pullys, 160 stat, g5x2, OR pushrods, gold springs, mac headers, x-pipe dumped at the axle, tuned by finish line performance. Thats all the big stuff i can think of.

Why did you go from 3.42's to 2.73's ??
