These two crooks purchased their rears in May, we recently found out (the guy from Canada this week) that they used stolen credit cards. How did we find out? The money suddenly disappeared from our bank account, as the merchant is the one who gets screwed on this! The credit card companies are not liable for much of anything. Taking a $5,500.00 hit is very hard for us, I just sold my Ford roll back yesterday to help pay for this loss. It sucks!

We weren't the only sponsor to get stung by these two guys, as least two other companies got hit as well. Bob

Wow that sucks Bob, sorry to hear about that. Its funny whoever did own those credit cards didn't notice they were stolen and cancelled them, would have thought they would have been rejected. Have you spoke with your bank to see if you can prosecute?

You dont need to physically have the card in hand to "steal" it. Especially for internet orders.

Sorry for the loss man. Credit card thieves as well as credit card company's really irk me. Its rediculous that the amount of money that those jokers make, and they have to take the money away from you. Absoluetly RETARDED.

Good job posting up their info.

If you haven't already, you can go to www.ic3.gov

This site will allow you to file complaints to be investigated by the government. You might have a big enough loss that you can get them to do somthing. Legitamate consumer debt is bad enough in this country that we don't need the crooks making it worse.

Thanks everyone, and we'll check out the IC3 forum. We've contacted the police in both cases, we have a detective in D.C working on that one for us. Bob

thieves

hope they catch them...I thought the credit card company would have to take the loss

maybe with credit card orders for large amounts you should get fax of license for insurance and make sure someone isn't trying to ship axle to different address

just a thought....might be too much trouble

I hate people that steal. **** THEM! Sorry this happened to you. My credit card was stollen a few months ago and over $3,000 was purchased on it in 2 days. Chase called me up and asked about the purchases. Thank GOD Chase has security, it's unfortunate the merchant gets screwed in the process.

That's coincidental.

I know what you mean Bob. We've had two instances like that here at our shop.

We do not take credit cards over the phone, unless you can fax us a copy of the driver's license, credit card etc, then you have to come in for us to order it.

And the moron steals and has a myspace page with a camaro on it? HAHA what an idiot. He's just looking to get caught. Bob sorry to hear about the loss and hopefully he gets everything re po'ed from him so he can pay his debt to you. I've always been worried about taking credit here at the store but since all our transactions are low dollar I haven't been to worried.

Here's what I think - If you were going to use a stolen credit card, would you give out your real name? Probably not. The guys myspace says he's from Missouri. If that's true, why would he have it shipped to D.C.? Hopefully these guys ARE the real culprits, because I'd hate to smear someone's name for no reason.

True....but if they are resposible it makes sense that they would ship it to a different address to cover their tracks.......I'm not saying anyones guilty but he should be checked out

BOB:

Credit Card Fraud is a big crime here in B.C Canada. Also the Hastings street address is the worst place in CANADA for Drugs and crime and homeless people.

Sorry about your loss.

Most of the time I live here in B.C. BUT... I keep my car in ONTARIO, it's my summer car and Auto theft is a big crime in B.C too.
