Default ford to chevy u-joint

I have a 9 inch which i want to install on my 01 trans-am. The only thing I need is a U-joint. We have a place in town but they want all the mesurements. the center section came off a 1/2 ton van (it was free). does anyone know the exact dimensions or of any site where they sell ford to chevy u-joints????

What are you doing about the torque arm mount on the 9" or do you have a different suspension set-up on your car.

stock ford center sections had about 3 or 4 different u joint sizes... good luck. measure the cap diameter... it will be either 1.063 or 1.125. then measure between the retaining bosses on the bottom of the cap surface of the yoke. it will be like 3 1/4 or 3 5/8. take these measurements and go to the parts store. most stores will have their u-joint manufacturer's paper books with cap size and overall widths for interchange and id purposes. it may take you a few minutes to find it but give it a shot.

Moser 9", check out any of the sponsors that carry them. I just bought a housing/axles from exoticperformance.com... ask for Bob.
