Strange 12 bolt's and bent axles?

Strange 12 bolt's and bent axles? Has anyone had issues with Strange axles bending out of round near the flange fillet radius?
4 years ago I purchased a Strange 12 bolt from a friend. When I got it all into my car, I notice that I had an intermittent "squeak" from one of my calipers. It would make the squeak once every wheel revolution. It didnt take long to determine that the axle was out of round at the flange.
So, I bought new axles and then ended up selling that rear.
Now, I just purchased a car with a Strange 12 bolt in it. SAME THING! A squeak was coming from one of the rear brake calipers and both axles are bent out of round.
What the heck is up with these things? I guess might understand if it happened to one of them, but two different rears with the SAME problem?
Was there a problem with the heat treatment of these axles? Pretty rediculous.
