Very cool indeed. I can only imagine what this will cost though. I'm going to guess a base price of $45-47k

The Z28 is likely to only be available with a six speed manual transmission.

and this is a problem how?

WHat I dont understand is the labeling

SS has always been the heavy hitter big horsepower car
Z28 has been the no but performance (high revving)

IMO the labeling needs to be switched
but good ot know a big boy is coming out

Why? Insiders say the Z28 business case now makes sense because the new UAW contracts have reduced the labor costs on the car to the point where GM feels it can price it competitively -- and far enough away from Corvette
I dont know, sounds like they might offer it at a good price to keep Corvette sales up.

It makes perfect sense. The SS label has been severely diluted and to me the Z represents the true performance these days. Z06 ZR1 and now Z28

I agree the SS has always been the big Dog, why did they do this?
Just boosting up the SS, and adding the Z as a lower line made more sense!

Just my view...

while i think it's cool the Z28 is coming back, i'd rather see them take that LSA motor and make a Trams Am based on the new camaro.

Which is never going to happen since Pontiac is gone. Let it go.

I'm all about having a Z28 for sale again...but I think ZL1 would've been the appropriate designation for this...

BUT...as long as they build it, they can call it whatever they want!
