More Camaros of SEMA... I published a few more articles in my column about concept Camaros from SEMA 2009. There were so many built Camaros this year that its taking me a while to get through them.

The "Camaro ZR1"
Since the new Chevrolet Camaro hit the streets, Chevy fans have been hoping for a Camaro trimline using the supercharged powerplant from the Corvette ZR1. Constant rumors and hints from GM execs have kept the hope alive for a Z28 package and many of those rumors involve a forced induction engine. While the chances are slim of seeing an LS9 powered Camaro in the lineup, this year’s SEMA Show showed us just what an LS9 Camaro would look like, and Long Island Collector Car Garage and Street & Performance went so far as to incorporate the ZR1 badging to this heavily modified 2010 Chevrolet Camaro.

The Camaro Dusk
Much like the Camaro Synergy, the Camaro Dusk uses a few prototype parts and unique color schemes to showcase some of the add-ons available from Chevy Accessories.
The exterior features the “next generation ground effects package”, with a prototype splitter, rocker extensions, and rear diffuser adding to the sporty look of the Dark Blue Metallic 2010 Camaro. Offering a contrast to the dark paint, the Camaro Dusk wear a set of custom billet aluminum wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero high performance tires. A Pedders Suspension coil-over setup improves the handling of the Camaro Dusk as well as giving it a more menacing stance and Brembo calipers, pads, and rotors improve the stopping performance.

The Camaro Synergy
The Chevrolet Camaro Synergy was designed to help showcase the accessories available for the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro from Chevy Accessories. It features a variety of interior, exterior, and performance modifications to enhance every aspect of the 2010 Camaro.
To draw attention to this show piece, Synergy Green metallic paint and Cyber Grey rally stripes give the exterior a distinct look, and the Cyber Grey theme is continued on the Chevy Accessories ground effects package and rear spoiler. The exterior of the Camaro Synergy is finished with a set of 21” black Chevy Accessories rims wrapped in Pirelli high performance tires.

The Leno Camaro

Leading up to the 2009 SEMA Show, a few shots of this car leaked out and the internet was alive with rumors about the possibility of being the new Camaro Z28. Much to the dismay of Camaro lovers, it was not to be as news quickly spread about this being the “Leno Camaro”.
In cooperation with GM Design, TV personality and well known car collector, Jay Leno designed this high performance Camaro, surprisingly using the 3.6L V6 found in the base model Camaro. The intention was to show off the performance capabilities of the 3.6L V6, especially with all of the news of Ford’s EcoBoost engine and the chances of that 365hp V6 finding its way into the Ford Mustang.
