New-New Camaro?
Just curious....looking back through GM's history when are they planning to change the body style? Will it be '13-'14? Typically speaking haven't they usually kept a Camaro generations body style for about three years? I'm just curious because I'm a Chevy guy through and through. I own a 67, and a 95, not to mention my 04 GTO. Anyways, this leads me to wondering...has anyone heard or seen plans for a new body for the coming years?

Also I work at a Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep dealership (job security) and will hate it when the Camaro's winning streak beating the Mustang and Challenger sales falls off. I argue time and time again with the salesman at my dealership how overpriced the Challenger is compared to a camaro. I look at it this way, the Challenger is a rebodied LX (300 & Charger). They both have the same powerplant, trans., and basically the same chassis. To get anything remotely compareable to the 2SS camaro you have to get the $41k Challenger SRT8 and it still cant hold a $35k camaro!!! Dodge is junking the 6.1 and coming out with the 6.4 (392) standard in the SRT8 so I'm looking VERY forward to seeing what GM has in store to kick the Challengers *** and hopefully a ZR1 based car to do battle against the Super Snake Shelby. GO camaro!!!

Nobody knows at this point, not even GM. It's pure speculation putting a timeframe on it or to even predict that there will ever be another with a different body style.

I was hoping they'd try a 70-73 style rendition. I loved that body style when it's done correctly (pro touring) but I'm worried they'll drop the entire car if sales dont pick up for GM as a whole not just sales for the car itself seeing as how its doing great now but just the Camaro can't hold the company up. Maybe they won't totally *** it up by trying to throw their own NEW body out there for sale. What I mean in that is I believe everyone (GM, FoMoCo, and Dodge) is doing great by reinventing an old body style in all their cars and how dare them to screw up the Camaro like Dodge did with the Charger in the 80's as an example.

Prediction: a year after they put a direct-inject V8 in the 'Vette, they'll do so with the Camaro. The C7 is supposed to come out in, what, '12? I forget. Probably a year or maybe two after that there will be a "refresh" -- however minor or major -- of the Camaro, maybe.
