If your trying to put an aftermarket radio.. not going to happen...
there isn't anything out there that's cost effective..
Going to cost you a butt load..
the radio/AC controls/lock/unlock button/hazard lights, are all one piece, as well as the radio is pretty much the brains for most of the other functions in the car..

Which really sucks cause I have a perfectly good Sony receiver I would love to put in the car...

One guy I have seen has done it, but there is a BUNCH of custom modifications that where done to get everything to work..

If your just wanting to pull it out..
there is a write up on Camaro5 somewhere..I believe

i was gon ask the same question
i dont see why i would ever change it unless i was fgoing to dramatically change the whole dash and controls around...
..the only downside i though about this car..
in the vettes you can at least change the radio..
..not too bad of a problem since the sound system in the 2ssrs sounds great as it is. may just add a small sub thats all,
till then im enjoyin the XM

this is what I did..
added a 1000Watt amp, and 2 12inch Subs..
Hits hard as hell, and the Boston sounds good with it.

you will have to tap the wires before the amp.

I will see if I can find the hook ups I used..
I will have to wait for the car to get back from the shop, before I can do that though unless someone else has it...

Metra makes a replacement dash kit which includes an adapter harness. Retains all features of the factory dash piece. Allows for the installation of a single or double din head unit. part # 99-3010S
