Default Subwoofer install question.

Hey guys and gals so does anyone have a stereo wiring diagram for the 2010 camaro ss. I have done all my installs on my other vehicles but don't know if i really want to try this one. If not I will just take it to get installed.

Thanks

Installation instructions for an aftermarket amp Using a
PAC sni-35..

Pin#1 is the White wire. This is for your remote turn on. It is the top spot on your right when looking at the plug end.

Pin #2 and #3 are not used.

Pin #4 is Tan (on my car anyway) Connect this to your Gray wire with black stripe from your Pac.

Pin #5 is Brown (on my car) Whatever wire is in this slot, connect it to the White wire with black stripe on the Pac.

Under the white wire, the first 2 slots are not used. The next wire is orange. After that should be a Dark Blue wire. This is pin #12. Whatever wire you have in this slot, connect it to the All Gray wire on the Pac.

The very next pin (on my car) is Brown with White Stripe. Pin #13. Whatever wire you have in this slot, connect it o the All White wire from the Pac.

Should be it.

As a Test, once you get the amp wired up, Run your RCA's to the amp, but only plug in 1 RCA plug at a time to ensure they are each one is working.

Everything is done in the trunk
You should have an amp on the driver side of the trunk opening behind the carpet..
it is right behind the tail lamp assembly
If you have the standard stereo, and not the Boston Accoustics, you will want to get the SNI-45 instead of the SNI-35.

no rear amp in the non BA system, need to pick up remote turn on with signal sensing, or pull it from the radio fuse. Can anyone confirm audio quality difference splicing into rear speakers vs fronts?

ThunderZ28, thanks for that document! I have one question, though. I have the BA sound system (2011 Camaro 2SS) and just picked up the PAC SNI35. All the instructions I've found online say to hook the leads up to "speaker-level" outputs. However, the document you posted calls these "Low-level audio" signals. Does it matter?

Subthump carries a sweet little patch cord that you plug inline with the rear BA amp: pigtail carries L/R line level outs plus a remote turn on lead.

Not wanting to wait for the custom connector to ship, I went ahead and patched RCA connectors into the "low-level" rear speakers. I about fried my amp due to what sounded like extreme feedback. Apparently these aren't as "low-level" as they look in the wiring diagram. Once I added the PAC SNI35 between my BA amp and my new amp, everything thumped as expected.

The PAC adapter provides RCA out for your amp. You use speaker level input from the speakers and then run your RCA cables to the output of the PAC unit to the amp. Also need to adjust the gains on the PAC adapter accordingly.
The nice thing about the PAC unit is that it also has provision for a remote turn on for the amp using the speaker level signal. When it senses that there is current going to the speakers it then sends that as the turn on for the amp.
5th gens are easy to wire up. I can set you guys up with bass packages as well with all the install gear necessary. Just hit me up at keeaudio@bellsouth.net
