I need some advice. Getting ready to pull the trigger on some exhaust for my ride. SLP or Borla. I am thinking about SLP Powerflo Crossover pipe (30223) and Loud Mouth exhaust (31212). With Borla I was considering the Stainless Steel Cat-Back System "S-Type" (140280). I think the ATAK is too loud. From what I can tell on the computer the Loud Mouth is not as loud as the Borla ATAK. I am not going for loud, I just want something that sounds good when you step into it, but doesn't drive you nuts at cruising speed.

I was thinking borla just based on preference on LS1's although I do have a LM.

My step-dad had the muffler delete, which is pretty much what the LM system is for these cars and then he switched to the Borla ATAK. The car was louder on startup, idle, and acceleration with the muffler delete than the ATAK system. Maybe once it's broken in it'll be louder. This is with shorty headers and cats...

My recommendation would also be the Borla S-Type. We have installed many cat-backs and this one has a great sound on the 5th gens.

I'm running SLP powerflo mufflers with SW headers and catless mids and it's perfect IMO. Great sound, docile while cruising and sounds like it would eat small children at WOT. For me loudmouth has always been too much even back in my community college LT1 days.
