My headers arrived Thursday and I spent the day putting them on Saturday. They are a direct fit to the stock exhaust system as advertized, and the polished stainless steel looks great under the hood. I did the whole job myself, I recomend having a buddy help if you do a set. Especially if your buddy has a lift. The headers sliped right in from underneath the car and the cats came with all stainless band clamps and hardware and new GM gaskets. Just a little advice about doing the install yourself: Beware the edges on the GM gaskets, they are like freaking razors. The dipstick and the stearing shaft need to be unbolted for the install, they are a huge PITA to get reconnected. If you can, get an air rachet otherwize in the tight areas on the passenger side you will be making an eighth of a turn at a time and that takes a long time to get the bolts in and out.

Mine have held up for almost 2 years now. Great product (as have been all my Texas Speed purchases). Will upgrade to the 2" when available.

I don't plan on pushing that much power to require a 2 inch primarry.

Not hi-jack your thread, but I don't know if you've ever used a different vendors LT Headers, but how would you or anyone else compare TSP LT vs another vendor like Kooks or American Racing Headers.

Both are great products. From what I read the ARH and Kooks require cutting the exhaust pipes to get the fit right. I chose the TSP headers for the price and because they are a direct fit.

So the HP gains are the same?

As far as I know the HP gains are the same. 1 7/8 primarries and 3 inch collectors are pretty much the same.

I have a crappy iPhone vid. I don't know how to post it though. I don't have a completely stock exhaust though, I have the GMPP axle back on mine. It is very mellow sounding at idle and it just growls a little bit at part throttle. It only really gets loud at WOT over 3500 rpm. That was exactly what I was looking for, the car is much easier to live with that way.

Just got my full TSP exhaust install, easy install no need to remove stearing shaft for me, just plugs and wires ! This is my wife car so sound is perfect for her, not too loud at idle and perfect when I drive WOT

I think I will have to move the steering shaft. My clearance wasn't there like I thought it would be.

I just did arh on mine. I thought i know big deal slam the headers in real quick. Yea drive side pull the shaft and bam right in from bottom no cutting nothing . Pass i mean pos side some bitch. Pull start cut the tab off the block slam it home then lick wounds.. Sounds easy when you know thats whats needed
