Default Launch Control

Tried it out yesterday and had it in competiton mode, clutch pedal to the floor, on gas all the way in the first gear, but i didnt notice the rev limiter coming on?? i thought it would? anyways so i let her go at about 4k and left alot of rubber, but felt the car trying to hook up and reduce the wheel spin

Just hold it to the the floor and it will back the RPMs down itself. It's not a two step. The computer will close the throttle itself

careful with launch control...wouldnt wanna snap an axle or anything like that. Tried it once, horrible wheel hop. Now I'm finally getting use to slipping the clutch for better launches.

It does wear the clutch more, but its just as bad with all the shock you put on the drivetrain using Launch Control. I launch around 2800-3000 and slip the clutch with limited wheel hop.

I've got over 60 passes and never once had wheel hop. I leave at 3-3200 with a quick slip also.

Launch control does work on these cars. But if you ease into the gas it will stay off. You basically stab the pedal to the floor and it will spike to 4k and stop.

The down side to this is that stock axles and ring gears are very weak and a lot of people break them using launch control even on stock tires.

Driveshaft Shop

These guys are sponsors, and the best in the business. As always with IRS cars though, you have to pay to play.

Yeah, 90 minutes if you've never done Axles on the IRS cars before. If you have, it gets down to about 40 minutes. Normally you only need to do them once though, and then the ring gear is your new weak point.
