but dont we need the center supports what are they there for if they are not needed???
The center supports are not needed for strength. We have customers that run pressures of forced induction through our Radical Ported intake manifolds without a problem. When the manifold is constructed, it is three pieces that are friction welded together. The posts help line up those pieces and they are left in because they help reduce resonance making the engine sound quieter. Most customers desire to maximize performance with our Radical Porting and don't mind a little more engine sound.
