Default Livernois Motorsports Whipple 2.9L Supercharger Install Results

Below are photos of Whipple 2.9L Supercharger install on a customer's 2010 Camaro SS. It is a manual trans LS3 that was baselined with an Airaid CAI, Dynatech longtube headers, catted mid-pipe, Corsa exhaust and tune.

Baseline numbers were 410 RWHP / 411 RWTQ

After installing the Whipple 2.9L supercharger, Rotofab CAI, and our custom dyno tune it made 597 RWHP / 512 RWTQ.

It had a 4.00" pulley and made 8.5 lbs. most of the run and 10.5 lbs. up top.

I'm pretty sure it will physically fit, the front dress is just different from the G8 and Camaro.

Rick
I have A M6 GXP and have been toying with the idea of modding the camaro whipple kit to fit the Ls3 in my G8. what is the diffrence in size(height) between the whipple and the maggie, and what diffrence in front dressing do I have from the Camaro and can can they be overcome?

So are any internal modifications needed? I am assuming the new ZL1's have forged internals and these regula LS3's are not?

The new ZL1 does not have forged internals, and these ls3 motors when tuned properly can handle 650-700 rwhp

Internal mods are not required, however depending on your goals and intended use, you may want to upgrade the internals.

We've built several 640+ RWHP LS3 vehicles with stock internals and have never had a single failure. We even have a local dealership having us do heads/cam Magnacharger cars that they are selling on the showroom floor making 640-650 RWHP.

We've never had a manual trans break, but do build the auto trans once you get near 600 RWHP.

Thank you
